OoTD – The Fat Event

Two Thursdays ago I had the pleasure of attending a fat film screening and discussion at a local university in Toronto. It was my first FA related event and it was amazing that I was able to attend and participate in the discussion. I wanted to do my very best to properly represent the fatshionista community, so I pulled out this very cute blue floral dress I had stored away.
This dress isn’t what I would classify under my regular style choices. Its strapless, loose and floral – three things I never thought I’d really fall for. It took me some time to decide whether or not I really wanted to purchase this dress but I’m so pleased that I did. One thing I’m determined to do this summer is challenge myself and my style choices. I want to take risks and wear things that might normally make me uncomfortable. I’m used to solid colours and sleeves but I think it goes without saying that I can do just about anything with fashion if I choose to and that goes for you too! I really can’t wait until I have the opportunity to wear this dress again and again and again.
Cardigan – Stitches
Dress – Voluptuous
Belt – Walmart
Tights – Unknown
Shoes – Can’t remember
Lipstick – 519A by Wet n Wild

One of the very first things I did upon coming home was make a video of my experience at the event. I wanted to share it here at my blogspot because I don’t make nearly as many posts as I’d like regarding my passion for Fat Activism and body positivity.

I am so jealous you got to go to this, I wish I was at a university that was geographically more.. reachable, haha. But I am so glad you went and had an awesome time, it sounds amazing <3
